Insights & inspiration this Christmas ......
Winter is now in full swing. Its not all doom and gloom though, in fact its something quite luxurious...
Time to think about your dining table and give it some splendour. Your dining room deserves special attention over the Christmas period. After all, one of the most important parts of Christmas day is a huge Christmas dinner that the majority of us can't move afterwards!!!
Depending on the colour of your dining room makes all the difference. If your dining room is blue's and cream's with a retro feel, if you have a cosy traditional dinning room in warm reds and gold, then the silver and black combination will not cut it !!
When you dress your table consider practicality. Don't overcrowd the table with so many trimmings and accessories that you don't leave yourself enough room for your dinner and the relevant crockery and cutlery that you need. Some times less is more, how about themed table ranges.....
Let me introduce you to our Santa and Sleigh Tapestry Range ....
Black and white colours are the perfect match any time of the year so why not at Christmas. The addition of silver also makes a great choice which can bring Christmas sparkle.
Table runners are a great way to add colour and interest to your table. Why not try using two across the table in parallel lines for an extra stylish look. Use wine glasses for your napkins and protect your table linen with place mats and coasters. That's a handy tip !

These can be as simple as a length of voile or organza wrapped around the back of the chair, tied and allowed to fall naturally into a soft tail or bow.
You don't have to be ultra creative, keep it nice and simple.
Clean crisp table linen is a must at Christmas, maybe something that you can wash afterwards so maybe damask or cotton table cloths would work a treat. Press your table cloth and napkins before you use them for the perfect finished article.
Lace table cloths can also give such a grand display and more traditional look. Have a look at creating a centre piece. Coloured glass is always effective, but nothing to busy you wouldn't want your guests eyes to run off your beautifully scalloped edge table cloth.
